This screening presents 'Pirosmani,' a biographical film about the Georgian artist Nikoloz Pirosmanashvili, directed by Giorgi Shengelaia. The main feature is preceded by 'Arabesques on the Pirosmani Theme,' a tender tribute from Sergei Parajanov, whose work is also highlighted given his shared directorial credit with the main film. The event will include an introduction by Anri Vartan from Cinema Naïf and is part of 'The Lives of the Most Excellent Painters' series.
