the best years of our lives will be screened as part of the New York Film Critics Circle monthly series. The screening will be followed by a post-screening conversation with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Kenneth Lonergan, who is a fan of the film, and NYFCC member and film critic Monica Castillo. The film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and also received awards for Best Film and Best Director at the 1946 New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
