Naked Came the Stranger
Metrograph
Based on a 1969 bestseller that was a hoax attributed to “Penelope Ashe” but written by 24 Newsday journalists, this X-rated adaptation by Radley Metzger uses the original prank as a sly analog for his own Henry Paris subterfuge. The film is a freewheeling spree of winking nods and cinematic games, resulting in perhaps Metzger's most playfully self-conscious work.

In Person: Rob King (film historian and author), Ashley West (writer and founder of The Rialto Report)
