This special screening, curated by Mohamed Challouf to complement the Tahar Cheriaa series, presents five indispensable treasures of African cinematic memory. The program includes Lionel Ngakane’s “Jemima & Johnny,” Idrissa Ouedraogo’s “The Bowls,” Moustapha Alassane’s “Bon Voyage, Sim,” and two films by Attiyat Al-Abnudi: “Mud Horse” and “The Sandwich.” A Q&A session with filmmaker and curator Mohamed Challouf, moderated by Jordan Coty Eloundou Ndongo from Princeton University, will follow the screening.
