Anthology Film Archives and The Drawing Center collaboratively present a free screening of Karin Berger's highly acclaimed documentary CEIJA STOJKA (1999). This special event is presented in conjunction with The Drawing Center’s exhibition “Ceija Stojka: Making Visible.” Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with filmmaker Karin Berger, moderated by Swedish documentary filmmaker, author, and journalist Lawen Mohtadi.

Austrian filmmaker, writer, and researcher Karin Berger’s acclaimed 1999 documentary explores the visual artist Ceija Stojka's life and work, centered in her Roma heritage. Spurred by the resurgence of extreme right nationalism and her experiences as a Holocaust survivor, Stojka created works of profound beauty and horror that resonate today.
