To Save and Project concludes with the world premiere of newly processed Andy Warhol film rarities, presented in conjunction with MoMA's 'Face Value: Celebrity Press Photography' exhibition. In 2024, Katie Trainor (MoMA’s film collections manager) and Greg Pierce (then-director of film and video at the Andy Warhol Museum) collaborated with Colorlab to process neglected black-and-white and color film rolls from the early Factory era. The recovered footage includes beautifully grainy material from iconic works, five unseen Screen Test portraits featuring Factory regulars, scenes from a 1964 Frank Stella opening, and explicit content. Additionally, five never-before-seen film rolls shot by Danny Williams, showcasing Gerard Malanga, Paul Morrissey, Edie Sedgwick, the Velvet Underground, and Andy Warhol, will be screened.

This program features the world premiere of never-before-seen Andy Warhol film rarities, processed from over eighty 100-foot rolls of film previously untouched since the 1960s. Footage includes raw material from "Sleep," "Kiss," "Batman Dracula," and "Couch," along with unseen Screen Test portraits and scenes from a Frank Stella gallery opening.
