This special event features a live Yiddish vaudeville performance of His People, starring Allen Lewis Rickman and Yelena Shmulenson, dubbed "The Yiddish Lunt and Fontanne." They are joined by Steve Sterner, who provides live piano accompaniment, and Shane Baker. Rickman and Shmulenson have a background in NY Yiddish theater and significant screen credits, including the Coen brothers’ Oscar-nominated A Serious Man. Steve Sterner is a veteran silent film accompanist with over 40 years of experience at Film Forum and other prestigious venues.
