This cultural showcase, co-presented with Friends of the Congo, Tabilulu Productions, True Walker Productions, and The Africa Center, is curated by Lubangi Muniania. The program begins with a drum call by Nkumu Katalay, followed by a Circle of Knowledge led by Lubangi Muniania, sharing traditional Congolese instruments, masks, and objects. Attendees will enjoy live music performances, screenings of short films, stand-up comedy, and an introduction to the latest Congolese dance craze, Plekess. The event concludes with a tasting of traditional Congolese dishes prepared by Domitille Lupumba, including fufu, pondu, makemba, makayabo, chikwange, pili-pili, and beignet. Admission is free, but RSVPs are required.
