Roxy Cinema, Museum of Sex, and Sacred Bones Records are hosting a special screening of THE SOURCE FAMILY, in conjunction with the new Museum of Sex exhibition Utopia: Three Centuries of Sexuality in American Cults and Communes. The event includes a post-screening Q&A session with Source Family members Isis and Galaxy Aquarian, alongside director/curator Jodi Wille. Book signings with Isis (FAMILY: The Source Family Scrapbook, Sacred Bones, 2023) and Galaxy (Psychedelic Wild Child, 2023) will also take place. This marks the first NYC screening of THE SOURCE FAMILY in 13 years.

A feature documentary film set in Hollywood, examining a radical experiment in '70s utopian living. The Source Family were the darlings of the Sunset Strip until their communal living, outsider ideals and spiritual leader Father Yod's 13 wives became an issue with local authorities. They fled to Hawaii, leading to their dramatic demise.
