Founded by Thomas Beard and Ed Halter, Light Industry's 2013 marathon event, 'The American Serial: 1914–1944', is revisited in a five-hour selection. This unique program explores the history and evolution of film serials, which were a key element of the moviegoing experience from the mid-1910s to the early 1950s. The event will feature a non-stop, all-day marathon of American serials, ranging from the silent era to their golden age in the 1930s and 1940s, with each episode shown in chronological order. The screenings will be introduced by Ed Halter and Thomas Beard of Light Industry.
