The discussion will explore systemic factors contributing to violence against the AAPI community, legal barriers to prosecuting hate crimes, policy advocacy, and the implications of new restrictions on property ownership, birthright citizenship, and U.S.-China trade conflicts for AAPI populations. Speakers include Justin Go, Sungkon Lee, Michael Zhu, Glenn Magpantay, Jennifer H. Wu, and moderator Chris Kwok. The program is presented in partnership with the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) and the Asian American Law Fund of New York (AALFNY), and is part of the Asian Diaspora Project.
